The Martha's Vineyard Boys & Girls Club (MVBGC) serves nearly 25% of the island's K-8 students, with a daily attendance of over 100. It is committed to diversity and inclusion, serving youth from all backgrounds, and partnering with island schools, and Island Autism Group to support neurodivergent youth. MVBGC offers high-quality out-of-school learning experiences, including educational, socio-emotional, and physical activities. Year-round programs include meals, academic support, sports, recreation, creative arts, and workforce development. The Club is critical to the development and well-being of Martha’s Vineyard youth, partnering with local schools to support children’s learning and address emergent needs. New Facility Construction As of September 15, 2024, contracts have been signed with an architect and a general contractor for the new 21,848 sq ft facility. The new building will include a full-size high school gym, state-of-the-art programming areas, and outdoor recreational areas. This project will address the limitations of the current aging building and allow MVBGC to expand its reach, enhance program offerings, and improve operational efficiency. 85% of the $16.6 million required for the new facility has been secured. MVBGC remains committed to meeting the evolving needs of island youth and is excited about the positive impact the new facility will have on the lives of Martha's Vineyard's youth for generations to come.
