Camp Jabberwocky

The summer of 2024 ushered in Camp Jabberwocky’s 71st season of providing a magical summer camp experience to campers! It was a summer filled with adventures and camp traditions, new friends and old, trying new things, sunny days at the beach, and, most importantly, community. We see the power of community in action every day at camp. In 2024, that looked like: Sharing adventures with 150 campers of all ages, creating countless memories together Expanding Family Camp, connecting 25 families over three different sessions Trusting in the expertise, compassion, and dedication of over 200 volunteers Sharing 231 meals together — we love gathering at the long tables in the renovated Main Cabin! Visiting 25 island partners for adaptive kayaking, live music performances, therapeutic horseback riding, and so much more Scrubbing more dishes and washing more beach towels than we can possibly count! Giving 300 family members a chance to recharge, knowing their loved one was safe, happy, and cared for "This was the best summer of my son’s life. Not only did he have amazing experiences, but he made lifelong friends at a camp that embraced him with unconditional love and acceptance. Camp Jabberwocky allows our special needs children to thrive and find independence, while families can exhale, knowing their loved ones are surrounded by the same care and joy as they are at home. Our hearts couldn’t be more filled with gratitude." - parent of recent camper We are deeply grateful for the support from MVYouth and our Island community, who help make this impact possible.
